More blade for the work around camp.
The BPS HK5 CSH brings extra working length to your camp kit for preparing kindling, carving wood, and everyday cutting tasks. Its 1066 carbon steel blade has a Scandi grind suited to working with wood, paired with a contoured walnut handle and an included leather belt sheath.
The HK5’s 5.1-inch blade is approximately 1.2 inches longer than the 3.9-inch blade on our HK4. That extra length gives you more reach and room for longer cutting strokes—useful when trimming small branches, preparing kindling, and making longer slicing cuts around camp.
For wood preparation, the added working length can help with light chopping and batoning small pieces of kindling. The HK4 remains a compact choice for close, detailed cutting, while the HK5 suits campers who prefer more blade for general camp chores. For larger firewood and sustained chopping, use a saw or hatchet.
Full-tang construction carries the steel through the handle. The shaped walnut grip has finger grooves and a Danish oil finish, while the included leather sheath provides belt carry between tasks.
